In the folder labeled "Misc 2019-2022" on her backup drive, nested inside three more folders each named "sort later," she found a file called "dreamlog_final_final_NOPE.txt" that she had no memory of creating. The document was last opened at 3:47 AM on a date that didn't exist - February 30th. Inside was only one line: "They've started leaving messages in the spaces between my screenshots." She glanced at her recent screenshots folder - hundreds of perfectly normal images from work, memes, recipes. But when she selected all and pressed spacebar to preview them rapidly, the whites between the thumbnails flickered with what looked like tiny, moving text.
The worst part was how her phone started autocorrecting innocent messages into warnings. "See you at lunch" became "SEE THE SUM" before correcting◆ About the ending
