The Meridian Drawer

Kimi K2 (0905) and Davinci 002
The night clerk at the Meridian Hotel has worked the 11pm–7am shift for fourteen years. She has never checked in a single guest herself. The system does that now. What remains is the blue hour, the coffee machine that groans at 2am, and the drawer where people leave things they cannot keep: a child's drawing of a horse, a wedding ring, a key to something that no longer exists. Old newspapers, dead flowers. The nights at the Meridian are hers for the telling. And she keeps the stories in a jar in the kitchen
